Protecting Value in IP Litigation, Arbitration and Mediation

Mel Simburg will be presenting “Protecting Value in IP Litigation, Arbitration and Mediation” in an afternoon plenary session of the WSBA’s 23rd Annual Intellectual Property (IP) Institute on April 19, 2018.

Mel’s presentation will explore strategies to protect IP and IP rights value in various dispute resolution contexts, including enforcement of international IP licenses. His topics will include extrajudicial enforcement techniques, how to prevent controlling persons from avoiding a client’s reach, how to draft a dispute resolution clause that restricts challenges to IP rights, and limiting potential damage claims against the IP rights holder.

The main focus of WSBA’s 23rd Annual Intellectual Property Institute is “Where Is the Value of U.S. Intellectual Property Headed?” It will be held at the Motif Hotel in downtown Seattle (1415 Fifth Ave.) and via Live Webcast.   For more information and to register, visit the WSBA Online Store.
