George focuses his practice on business litigation with an emphasis on real estate and contract matters. When litigation becomes necessary, George is a knowledgeable advocate for his clients from the beginning of a case right through trial.
George represented the successful plaintiff in the first appellate case to consider the Washington Residential Real Estate Seller’s Disclosure Act, Svendsen v. Stock & John L. Scott, 153 Wn.2d 546 (2001). This case confirmed that the Washington Consumer Protection Act still applies to real estate brokers in residential real estate transactions. For diversity and additional opportunities for trial work, George also takes a limited number of personal injury cases. George is well regarded by his clients and fellow attorneys as a compassionate and ethical practitioner. His dedication is apparent in the amount of time he spends and the patience he shows to each client.
George is a member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. His other professional activities have included membership on the Editorial Board, Duke Law Journal, 1976-1977 and Captain, U.S. Army, 1971-1973. George serves on the national board of the University of Missouri Alumni Association and on the board of Presbyterian Retirement Communities Northwest in Seattle. He is also an active member of University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, and enjoys gardening and skiing.
